The County Courthouse features colorful tiles showcasing paintings. Located nearby is the the clock tower and observation deck that offer a full view of Santa Barbara. The 1873 Lobero theatre is known for its events, and it was rebuilt in the 1920s by George Washington Smith. According to Kenny Slaught, these structures highlight Santa Barbara’s rich history. These buildings are predominant in the old districts and show the founder’s careful planning.
