The most important attractions in Santa Barbara are the hundreds of years old Hotel Virginia, El Pueblo Viejo neighborhood and the Old Mission’s towers where events are held. The County Courthouse’s murals are beautifully colored, and the close by clock tower and observation deck offers a scenic view of the area. The Lobero theatre still hosts performances today, and was built in 1873. In the 1920’s, George Washington Smith redesigned it. These structures in Santa Barbara were only possible thanks to the founder’s detailed planning.
